University of Mosul… A New Step Toward Programmatic Accreditation at the College of Education for Women

The President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, received on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the ministerial committee assigned to evaluate the Bachelor’s program of the Department of Biology at the College of Education for Girls, as part of the requirements for obtaining programmatic accreditation, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Assist. Prof. Dr. Shatha Hazem Korkis.
The committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Alia Abdul Ridha Khanash, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dawood Abdul Salam Sabri, Prof. Dr. Nidal Muzahim Rashid, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Haitham Latif Abdulhadi, along with the representative of the Accreditation Department at the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Lecturer Dr. Ahmed Abbas Mohsen. The committee also included Assist. Prof. Dr. Baraa Ismail Farhan, Dr. Jalal Jasim Mohammed, Dr. Firas Taher Hussein, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Asmaa Adeeb Abbas.
During the meeting, the University President welcomed the committee and commended its scientific and administrative efforts aimed at advancing the academic reality in higher education institutions. The session included a review of the current status of the Biology program at the College of Education for Girls, along with a discussion of the key requirements for programmatic accreditation and the adopted academic standards, with the goal of improving the quality of education and enhancing its outcomes in line with labor market demands.
