Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, received a delegation from the Iraqi Geologists Syndicate – Nineveh Branch, headed by Dr. Iman Qasim Al-Awjar, faculty member at the University of Mosul and Chairperson of the Syndicate’s Nineveh Branch. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jasim, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, and Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Al-Taie, Dean of the College of Science.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha and discussed ways to strengthen scientific and research cooperation between the University and the Syndicate. The discussions focused on supporting young geological professionals and developing joint projects that contribute to the development of Nineveh Governorate.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Iman Al-Awjar presented the Syndicate’s shield to the University President in recognition of the University of Mosul’s pioneering role in serving the community and supporting the advancement of scientific endeavors.
