Discussion of a master’s Thesis on Evaluation of Shear Bond Strength and Internal Adaption of IPS E.max Veneers Using Different Luting Agents and Core Materials

A master’s thesis entitled: “Evaluation of Shear Bond Strength and Internal Adaption of IPS E.max Veneers Using Different Luting Agents and Core Materials”, was discussed on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at the Department of Conservative Dentistry / College of Dentistry / University of Mosul.
The thesis, submitted by the student Marwa Jassim Mohammed, investigated the bond strength between E.max veneers and bioactive dental materials. The results demonstrated a significant effect of the bioactivity of these materials on the bond strength with E.max veneers. In addition, adhesion strength was assessed using micro-computed tomography (micro-CT) imaging, and the findings revealed a clear influence of these materials on adhesion strength.
The examination committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Emad Farhan Ali, with the membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Rasha Muzahim Maiouf and Assist. Prof. Saif Nazim Hassoon, under the supervision and membership of Assist. Prof. Dr. Alaa Idrees Dawood.
The thesis was approved after the required amendments were made.
