As part of its continuing education activities, the Studies and Planning Division at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Studies and Planning Department / Sustainable Development Unit at the University Presidency, organized a workshop entitled “Components of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention.” The workshop was held on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, at Lecture Hall No. (2) in the College.
The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Reem Abdulwahab Ismail, Lecturer Dr. Alyaa Ahmed Jassim, and Lecturer Dr. Abdulqadir Ismail Khalil, faculty members of the Department of Sociology, College of Arts, University of Mosul. The speakers highlighted the importance of raising awareness of the components of the National Strategy for Suicide Prevention and the mechanisms for its implementation within the university and the wider community.
The workshop was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, along with a number of faculty members and students. The session witnessed notable interaction through a series of questions and substantive interventions, which were addressed by the speakers, emphasizing the role of awareness and effective communication in enhancing institutional performance and safeguarding the university environment against negative phenomena.
