“As Part of the ‘Rahma WaSila’ Ramadan Initiative… A Specialized Therapeutic Campaign by the College of Dentistry for Residents of the Elderly Care Home”

In implementation of the “Rahma Wasila” initiative launched by the University of Mosul on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, and within its ongoing commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, the College of Dentistry carried out a specialized voluntary therapeutic campaign to visit the Elderly Care Home, under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College.
This visit represents the outcome of joint cooperation between the Volunteer Work Unit, the Human Rights Unit, and the Scientific Affairs Unit at the College. It aims to reinforce the values of social solidarity and to support priority groups in need, in alignment with the following Sustainable Development Goals:
Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being.
Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities.
Goal 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions.
The campaign included the provision of comprehensive on-site therapeutic services to the residents of the home, based on the medical database and diagnostic assessments prepared during previous field visits. This reflects the University’s approach to transforming voluntary work from a temporary activity into a sustainable and well-planned healthcare service.
The College of Dentistry continues to fulfill its humanitarian and academic mission, affirming that the doors of knowledge remain a vital means of serving the community and building bridges of trust with all its segments.
