The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Dentistry / University of Mosul held an awareness lecture on Sunday, 17 May 2026, entitled “Women’s Change Initiatives and Debate,” attended by a number of female faculty members and staff.

The lecture addressed the importance of women’s empowerment and strengthening their role in society through purposeful initiatives that contribute to the development of leadership and communication skills. It also introduced the culture of debate as a civilized means of exchanging opinions and ideas, as well as building a personality capable of effective expression and communication.

The lecture also witnessed remarkable engagement from the attendees through various interventions and discussions that emphasized the importance of supporting women’s potential and encouraging their active participation in different academic and community fields.

This activity comes the activities of the Women’s Affairs Unit aimed at promoting cultural and social awareness and enhancing the role of women within the university environment and society.
