Under the patronage of the Deanship of the College of Dentistry / University of Mosul, and within the scientific plan of the Scientific Affairs Unit, the Department of Basic Dental Sciences, represented by the Chemistry Division / Chemistry Laboratory, concluded the activities of the continuing education course entitled:

“Toxic Chemicals and Their Risks to the Health of Individuals and Society”

The course lasted for five days and witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of faculty members from the department, in addition to the attendance of a number of academic staff members. The course aimed to enhance public health and community awareness regarding the dangers of toxic chemicals and methods of protection against them, as well as to highlight the importance of the safe use of chemicals in daily life and medical fields.

The course included a number of scientific and awareness-oriented lectures that addressed various topics related to chemical toxicology and its health impacts, in addition to shedding light on chemical reactions associated with oral and dental health and the concept of green chemistry.

This course comes as part of the efforts of the College of Dentistry to support scientific and educational activities that contribute to community service and to raising the scientific and academic level of faculty members and students.
