The College of Dentistry at the University of Mosul organized, on Monday, 5 October 2026, an awareness and practical workshop on Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (Hands-Only CPR), under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Dentistry, Professor Dr. Neam Riyadh Saleem.

The workshop was held in cooperation with Al-Nabid Company for Human Resources Training and Qualification and the Department of Science and Technology Parks / Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, on the occasion of CPR Month and in conjunction with World Restart a Heart Day.

The workshop included both awareness and practical sessions on the Hands-Only CPR technique, during which participants received training on the fundamental steps for dealing with cases of cardiac arrest. It also highlighted the differences between cardiac arrest and heart attack, as well as the mechanisms for rapid response to each condition.

The workshop also featured an introduction to the internationally accredited courses offered by the American Heart Association (AHA) and the official certifications that participants can obtain through these courses.

The workshop witnessed the participation of a number of students, graduates, and staff members, with active engagement in its practical and hands-on activities.
