As part of the Continuing Education Activities Plan for the 2026–2027 academic year, the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the College of Dentistry, University of Mosul, concluded its five-day training course entitled “Publication in Dentistry,” held from 11 to 15 October 2026 in the Department’s Discussion Hall, with the participation of a distinguished group of faculty members and postgraduate students.

The scientific lectures delivered during the course focused on the mechanisms and fundamental principles of scientific publishing in reputable international databases, in addition to reviewing methods and approaches for screening and evaluating scientific journals specializing in various fields of dentistry.

The organization of this course forms part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to promote continuing education, update research knowledge and skills, and keep abreast of the latest instructions and regulations governing academic scientific publishing.

The course concluded with an emphasis on the importance of sustaining such activities and training programmers, given their effective role in facilitating the exchange of expertise, enhancing the quality of the College’s research output, and developing researchers’ scientific publishing pathways.
