A seminar on engineering safety in the Department of Mechanical Engineering
A seminar was held for the engineering safety project implemented in Mosul, with the support of the French organization
(expertise france) and with the follow-up of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University of Mosul,
which was held at the Department’s discussion hall on Wednesday, 18-12-2019.
It includes the following:
1- Introducing the engineering system in Mosul and the importance of applying safety conditions
in various engineering fields.
2- Explain the obstacles facing the project.
3- Defining the project work method.
4- Mention examples of some problems that we will address with the proposed solutions.
5- Presenting the project from the beginning of the idea until the moment.
** Project Manager:
The student (Farah Hussein Yunus) – fourth stage – Department of Mechanical Engineering –
College of Engineering – University of Mosul.
* About the organization and the competition *
It is a competition sponsored by the expertise france organization (a French government organization
that supports the ideas of young people.
Safe engineering ranked third out of 23 projects accepted in the competition).
* About the Engineering Safety Project *
A not-for-profit service project whose goal is to establish a platform to familiarize people with engineering safety
requirements and to communicate the opinions and complaints of citizens to the competent authorities
in addition to diagnosing problems and developing solutions to them.
The seminar was attended by many lecturers and employees of the College of Engineering
in addition to the presence of the Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division
from the Presidency of Mosul University.
