Within the continuing scientific activities of the faculty members of Department of Electrical Engineering / College of Engineering / University of Mosul, Assist. Prof. Dr. Firas Sami Alsharbaty / Department of Electrical Engineering and Prof. Dr. Qutaiba Ibrahim Ali / Department of Computer Engineering published a research in the field of wireless communications in September / 2023 entitled “New Cybersecurity Scheme for Electrical Substation using Wifi Protected Access 3 and Local Authenticator”
In (International Journal of Advanced Natural Sciences and Engineering Researches ;ISSN: 2980-0811).
The research examined a cybersecurity model for wireless communication network (WCN) in electrical substations, using the wifi 3 protected access security system (WPA3). The model aims to upgrade the communications network of traditional electrical stations to smart electrical substations, while addressing cyber threats associated with wireless communications.
