Within the Framework of University of Mosul Presidency’s Vision to Enhance Academic Cooperation: A Joint Meeting Between College of Engineering at University of Mosul and Colleges of Engineering and Technical Engineering at Al-Noor University to Discuss the Organization of a Joint Engineering Conference

In alignment with University of Mosul Presidency’s goals to strengthen scientific and academic collaboration among its colleges and with other universities, and as part of its strategic vision to hold multidisciplinary joint scientific conferences that contribute to the development of research and the exchange of expertise, the College of Engineering at University of Mosul held a joint meeting with its counterpart, College of Engineering, and the Technical Engineering College at Al-Noor University. The meeting aimed to explore avenues of cooperation for organizing a joint engineering conference between the two universities.
The meeting took place at the Dean’s office of the College of Engineering, in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, Dean of College of Engineering at University of Mosul; Professor Dr. Saad Ali Al-Taan, Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Noor University; and Professor Dr. Kamel Ali Abdul-Mohsen, Dean of the Technical Engineering College at Al-Noor University, in addition to several representatives from both colleges. The participants discussed the key scientific and organizational aspects related to the conference, including identifying the main topics, forming scientific and organizational committees, establishing mechanisms for submitting and reviewing research papers, and proposing a timeline for holding the conference.
The attendees emphasized the importance of strengthening this type of collaboration, which reflects the spirit of academic partnership and contributes to highlighting the role of Iraqi universities in advancing scientific research and providing innovative engineering solutions that serve society.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the commitment to continue joint efforts and ongoing coordination between the preparatory committees of both universities, in preparation for the official announcement of the conference in the near future.
