College of Engineering Welcomes the Evaluation Committee of “Sustainable University” Competition to Review Its Environmental and Development Projects

On Tuesday and Wednesday, June 3–4, 2025, College of Engineering at University of Mosul hosted the field follow-up committee of the “Sustainable University” competition to review the real-world projects submitted by the college as part of the university’s overall participation in the competition.
The committee was accompanied by the University’s Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, and was received by Dean of College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, along with Administrative Assistant Dean, Dr. Bassam Ihsan Abdulqader.
The purpose of the visit was to verify the credibility of the environmental and developmental projects submitted by College of Engineering, which contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the promotion of a green university environment—reflecting University of Mosul’s commitment to environmental standards and all seventeen SDGs (1–17).
The Sustainable University competition committee was headed by Director of Department of Entrepreneurial Project Management at Research and Development Directorate of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and included representatives from the Ministry of Environment.
