Industrial Advisory Council at College of Engineering Holds Its First Session

The Industrial Advisory Council at College of Engineering, formed under Administrative Order No. 9/13/5246 dated May 14, 2025, held its first session for the academic year 2024–2025 on Thursday, June 19, 2025.

The session was chaired by Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, Dean of College of Engineering, and attended by heads of the departments and industry representatives.

The meeting discussed several key topics, most notably:

  1. Updating curricula in the departments of the College of Engineering to keep pace with scientific advancements and labor market demands.

  2. Proposed new undergraduate specializations.

  3. Educational program objectives in the departments of the College of Engineering.

  4. The pre-graduation survey form for students in the departments.

  5. Suggestions for improving summer training programs to align with labor market needs.
