Training Course in Department of Mechanical Engineering “Enhancing the Culture of Participation in the Engineering Decision-Making Process”
On Sunday, June 22, 2025, Department of Mechanical Engineering at College of Engineering held a training course titled “Enhancing the Culture of Participation in the Engineering Decision-Making Process” in the department’s discussion hall. The course will continue until June 26.
The course aims to strengthen participants’ understanding of the importance of involvement in decision-making within the academic environment, to introduce leadership styles and decision-making approaches, and to help build a work environment based on dialogue and initiative.
The course is supervised by Mr. Yaser Shukur Mahmood (as supervisor and lecturer), and delivered by Prof. Dr. Atallah Jasem and Assistant Lecturer Nooraldeen Saleh Khudhur.
It covers a variety of topics, including an introduction to the concept of participation in engineering decision-making, effective communication skills, tools for group decision-making, and mechanisms for building a participatory work environment.
The course is specifically designed for faculty members and engineers in College of Engineering.
