College of Engineering at University of Mosul Announces the Ministerial Approval for Establishment of Department of Communications and Intelligent Digital Systems Engineering

College of Engineering at University of Mosul is pleased to announce the issuance of the ministerial order approving the establishment of the Department of Communications and Intelligent Digital Systems Engineering. This newly established department becomes the tenth academic department within the college, and comes as part of the college’s continuous efforts to keep pace with rapid technological advancements and to meet the growing demands of the labor market in the fields of modern communications, intelligent systems, the Internet of Things (IoT), and digital transformation.
On this occasion, the Deanery of the College of Engineering extends its sincere appreciation and deepest gratitude to the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, for his significant support and ongoing commitment to the development of the college and the expansion of its academic horizons, in alignment with the university’s vision for academic excellence and community service.
The college also expresses its heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Abdulrahim Ibrahim Jasim, for his continuous follow-up and support, and to the departmental establishment committee for their dedicated scientific and technical efforts which culminated in this distinguished achievement.
College of Engineering affirms that this establishment is part of a comprehensive strategic plan aimed at strengthening modern engineering disciplines, achieving alignment between higher education outcomes and labor market requirements, and actively contributing to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals. It further reinforces the University of Mosul’s position as a leading academic and scientific institution in Iraq and the region.
