Distinguished Participation for College of Engineering – University of Mosul in Fourth Governmental and Private Education Festival

Under the patronage of President of University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmood Al-Ibrahimi, College of Engineering at University of Mosul participated in the Fourth Governmental and Private Education Festival. The event was hosted within the scouting camp on the university campus and extended over a three-day period, from August 17 to 19, 2025.

The participation of College of Engineering was marked by a diverse and innovative exhibition of research projects and applied devices, which demonstrated the integration of scientific knowledge with practical engineering solutions. Among the most notable contributions were:

  • A system and mobile application for monitoring air pollution in Mosul.

  • A helical wind turbine designed for renewable energy generation.

  • The design and fabrication of a lightweight single-engine aircraft structure with multiple material options.

  • A solar-powered intelligent vehicle equipped with artificial intelligence technologies for enhanced safety and surveillance.

  • The design and implementation of a solar-powered greenhouse for agricultural applications.

  • A smart waste management system.

  • An advanced system for air quality monitoring.

  • The development of an adaptive chair for individuals with special needs.

  • The design of a medical auto-injector device.

  • A signal-jamming device for communication control.

  • A road management system utilizing sustainable energy sources.

These projects collectively represented practical implementations of most of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). College of Engineering, through its active participation, reaffirmed its enduring commitment to fostering innovation, advancing engineering research, and applying scientific knowledge in service of both community development and sustainable progress.
