Training Course at College of Engineering on “Promoting a Culture of Participation in Decision-Making”

As part of the National Strategy for Education and Training, College of Engineering / Department of Civil Engineering, organized a training course entitled “Promoting a Culture of Participation in Decision-Making” on Sunday, September 14, 2025. The course will run for five days, concluding on September 18, 2025, and is directed toward faculty members and administrative staff of College of Engineering.

The course aimed to introduce methods and approaches of participation in the decision-making process, with the goal of improving the quality of decisions, increasing commitment to their implementation, and developing the skills and capacities of the participants.

The course was supervised and delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Jasim Ali Abdullah (Course Supervisor) and Lecturer Assistant Rakan Farouq Qasim.

The curriculum included a general introduction to decisions and their types, methods of decision-making, an overview of engineering decisions, higher education institutions, and finally, the culture of participation in decision-making.
