Training Course in Department of Civil Engineering on “Fundamentals and Techniques of AUTO CAD for Designers and Engineers”
Within the framework of its scientific activities and in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 “Quality Education,” College of Engineering at University of Mosul, through Department of Civil Engineering, organized a training course entitled “Fundamentals and Techniques of AUTO CAD for Designers and Engineers.” The course was held from September 28 to October 2, 2025, and targeted faculty members and engineers of the College.
The course aimed to enhance the capabilities of engineering staff in utilizing AUTO CAD software for preparing two-dimensional drawings, which represent a fundamental step in any engineering project.
Lectures were delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Uday Asal Saleh (lecturer and course supervisor), Lecturer Ibtisam Hazem Hassan, Lecturer Sara Abdulrazzaq Majid, Assistant Lecturer Shahad Nazem Sheet, and Assistant Lecturer Ruaida Saleh Khalaf.
The training program covered an introductory overview of AUTO CAD, interaction with the software interface, dimensioning and text insertion, and concluded with rendering and printing. An evaluation exam was also scheduled for the participants at the end of the course.
