Vision :

To be a global leader in the field of communications engineering and intelligent digital systems through academic and research excellence, providing advanced educational programs that keep pace with the latest engineering technologies, conducting innovative research in the fields of smart communications and digital transformation, providing solutions to technical problems, engineering leadership in innovation, community service and sustainable development in the engineering fields of communications and digital systems, and qualifying engineering cadres capable of leading digital transformation in addition to spread awareness of the security of information transmitted in communications systems.

 

Message :

Department of Communications and intelligent Digital Systems Engineering seeks to achieve the needs of Iraqi society and the region by providing high-quality programs in communications engineering and smart digital systems in education, scientific research, and community service.

 

Objectives :

  • This department aims to provide excellent educational programs in the field of communications engineering and intelligent digital systems for students at the undergraduate level that lead to the graduation of strong engineering cadres, capable of developing themselves and contributing to providing technical support to the government and the private sector in their engineering projects and needs.
  • The department’s contribution to enhancing research and innovation in the fields of communications engineering and intelligent digital systems, by providing support to faculty members and researchers in developing innovative research projects. In addition to participating in developing and raising the level of specialization for engineering cadres in state departments and projects by supporting continuing education courses, which are organized in cooperation between the college and the department or through organizing the department directly.
  • The department aims to enhance and increase awareness of the importance of modern communications systems in smart cities and the importance of employing smart digital systems in various applications.
  • The department seeks to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge necessary to generate and implement communications projects and contribute to the workforce related to communications network systems.
  • The department aims to build close cooperative relationships with industrial and production institutions concerned with communications and smart city management to direct research and education towards industrial needs and practical applications.
  • The department works to enhance concepts related to data transmitted in communications systems and mechanisms for protecting it.
