The Fourth Meeting of the Advisory Council for the Academic Year 2024–2025

The Advisory Council of  Department of Computer Engineering convened on April 28, 2025, to deliberate on several strategic matters aimed at enhancing the department’s academic and professional outputs. The following items were addressed:

  • Evaluating the feasibility of facilitating student training placements within mixed-sector companies as a means of enhancing practical experience and industry readiness.
  • Considering the organization of training or awareness-raising workshops in collaboration with mixed-sector companies during the summer recess, thereby enriching students’ professional development.
  • Exploring opportunities for securing employment for high-achieving graduates within mixed-sector companies to support their career progression and bridge the gap between academia and industry.
  • Emphasizing the importance of internal and external media engagement by promoting outstanding student projects through official departmental channels and social media platforms to increase visibility and recognition.
  • Proposing the integration of an applied project—focused on the creation of data tables and the processing and analysis of raw data—within core courses such as Database Systems or Data Structures, in order to reinforce students’ skills in data correlation and analytical thinking.
  • Reviewing and analyzing the results of the graduation exit survey to assess the effectiveness of the learning outcomes and to evaluate the extent to which the department’s educational objectives have been achieved.

The Council strongly recommends the adoption and implementation of the aforementioned proposals in the forthcoming period, with the goal of advancing the department’s academic excellence and alignment with labor market demands.
