In light of the rapid development, the consumption of fabrics and clothing has become a necessity of life as a luxury and not just a demand, as there are many types of fabrics and different forms of fashion than it was previously. This development has led to the consumption of large quantities of natural resources and raw materials for the purpose of manufacturing fabrics, resulting in waste and pollutants to the environment and harming to human health as well. In order to shed light on these wastes and explain their environmental impacts and how to dispose of them, the Environmental Research Center held on Sunday, April 21, 2024, a panel discussion entitled “Textile Waste,” delivered by the assistant lecturer , Reem Nawzat Ahmed, in the seminars room of the centre. The lecture was well received by the audience.
