The College of Fine Arts represents Nineveh Governorate and the University of Mosul in the central national workshop, 1000 Playwrights for Children
Commissioned by Professor Dr. Nashat Mubarak Saliwa, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, a delegation from our college, headed by Dr. Zaid Tariq Fadel, participated in the third national central workshop for the 1000 Children’s Playwrights project from 11-14/11/2023.
The workshop was held in Karbala Governorate and sponsored by the General Secretariat of the Holy Shrine of Hussein, and the leading Iraqi artist Mahmoud Abu Abbas lectured.
A group of trainees were nominated for the central workshop who received their initial training in writing theatrical script directed at children in the corridors of the College of Fine Arts and in the Department of Art Education by Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail Al-Taie.
The Mosul University delegation was the largest in number among the Iraqi provinces.
The winning theatrical scripts will be printed in books, in addition to the financial prizes allocated for developing a book of theatrical scripts directed to children.
