The College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul is an important scientific, cultural and artistic edifice in Nineveh Governorate. Department of Performing Arts

The Department of Performing Arts was established with the establishment of the College of Fine Arts in the academic year 1994_1995 with only one branch (acting), and then the directing branch was opened in subsequent years. The department aims to prepare leading, educational, artistic and cultural cadres that elevate the aesthetic taste of Iraqi society through the humanitarian message of the art of theater. Department of Fine Arts

The Department of Fine Arts was founded with the establishment of the College of Fine Arts / University of Mosul in 1994 AD. The Department of Fine Arts is located within the building of the College of Fine Arts, which is located on the second campus, along with a group of other colleges. The Department of Fine Arts grants a bachelor’s degree in painting or sculpture to its graduate students, which is a recognized certificate locally and internationally, and keeping pace with technical developments and modern molding methods in the field of plastic arts. The department works to develop teaching staff scientifically, technically and practically, and to raise the scientific and technical level of the department. Read more

Department of Art Education

In 2005, the Department of Art Education was inaugurated, and the department was interested in employing art in education, both theatrical and plastic. Among the goals of the department that it has drawn since its inception (practicing artistic activities, tasting beauty, achieving educational goals, helping in the language of art and its function in society, changing student behavior through Practicing artistic work, obtaining skills in the learning process, enabling students to improve the environment aesthetically, self-expression, enjoying the practice of visual and audio arts, and freedom from pent-up emotions.
