A Ministerial Committee visits the College of Fine Arts, coinciding with several artistic activities focused on combating drug abuse.

As part of the Iraq Anti-Drug Week activities, Professor Dr. Hamid Ibrahim Al-Rashidi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, received the Ministerial Committee for Iraq Anti-Drug Week today, Monday, November 17, 2025. The visit coincided with several artistic events, including a poster exhibition titled “Together to Raise Awareness Against the Danger of Drugs.”
The committee attended a theatrical performance titled “The Illusion of Survival” presented by students of the Department of Art Education. They also participated in a workshop titled “Drugs Threaten Generations,” which featured an instructional film, student research papers, and a short theatrical scene. These activities addressed the phenomenon of drug abuse and prevention strategies to curb this dangerous trend due to its severe impact on individuals, families, and society.
At the conclusion of the visit, the committee commended the efforts exerted in organizing these educational and awareness-raising activities for their positive impact on both the community and the individual.
