In a move to foster academic openness and scientific communication between Iraqi universities and their Arab and international counterparts, Professor Dr. Mayada Majeed Amin Al-Bajlan, a faculty member in the Department of Art Education at the College of Fine Arts, participated in the “Special Education: Reality and Aspirations” electronic scientific conference.

Held in Sabratha, Libya, from June 25 to 27, 2025, under the slogan “Development and Peace,” the conference provided a platform for discussion and collaboration.

During the conference, Dr. Al-Bajlan presented a scientific paper titled “School Theater and Its Role in Reducing the Phenomenon of Electronic Blackmail.” Her research highlighted the importance of school theater as an educational and awareness-raising tool. It contributes to enhancing students’ social awareness and mitigating negative phenomena associated with unsafe technology use. The paper also included contemporary insights and effective recommendations aimed at advancing the reality of education and developing its strategies to keep pace with digital transformations and achieve sustainable development goals.
