Conclusion of the “Art in Achieving Sustainable Development” Course

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Fine Arts concluded a two-week course titled “Art in Achieving Sustainable Development.” The sessions were presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Zaid Tariq Fadhil, Asst. Prof. Firdaus Behnam Yashooa, and Asst. Lect. Zakaria Jalal Bashir.
The course aimed to enhance participants’ awareness of the importance of arts in promoting sustainability and environmental protection, while highlighting the role of art in preserving cultural identity and fostering cultural diversity. Additionally, it focused on developing creative skills to address social, environmental, and economic issues, and building positive attitudes toward responsible consumption and recycling through environmental art—in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
