College of Fine Arts

The Department of Plastic Arts was established along with the College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul in 1994. The Department of Plastic Arts is located in the College of Fine Arts building on the second campus, alongside several other colleges. The Department of Plastic Arts awards a bachelor’s degree in either Painting or Sculpture to its graduating students, and this degree is recognized both locally and internationally. The department keeps pace with technological advancements and modern artistic techniques in fine arts. It works towards developing the teaching staff academically, artistically, and practically, elevating the department’s academic and artistic standards under quality classifications and standards by developing artistic and creative activities and fostering a spirit of innovation and initiative.
