The College of Fine Arts at the University of Mosul and the Nineveh Police Directorate hold a scientific symposium on the dangers of the spread of unlicensed weapons
The Continuing Education Unit in our college, in cooperation with the Weapons Control Division in the Nineveh Police Directorate, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Bashar Abdel-Ghani Muhammad, the scientific assistant, held the scientific symposium entitled (Regulating weapons and confiscating them in the hands of the state) today, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and in the presence of most of our college members.
Present at the symposium at its first session was Colonel Ahmed Muwaffaq Muhammad, Director of the Weapons Control Division, representing the Nineveh Governorate Police Commander. The symposium was technically managed by the Assistant Director of the Weapons Control Division, Ahmed Talal Allawi, and the assistant professor, Dr. Zaid Tariq Fadel, official of the College Media Division.
The symposium aimed to review the recent laws related to this sensitive issue and the directives of His Excellency the Prime Minister in addressing the phenomenon of the spread of unlicensed weapons and the threat they pose to peace and societal security, especially the weapons spread in some governorates.
