College of Fine Arts

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Professor Dr. Hamid Ibrahim Al-Rashidi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, the Continuing Education Unit held a scientific symposium titled “The Role of Universities in Sustainable Development within Global Rankings” on Wednesday, October 29, 2025.

The event, held at the Jalal Jameel Hall, was attended by several faculty members and students. The lectures were delivered by Prof. Dr. Bashar Abdul-Ghani Muhammad, Dr. Omar Fawaz Jabbar, Asst. Prof. Firdaus Behnam Yashoua, and Ms. Azhar Hikmat Mahmoud. The session was moderated by Asst. Prof. Dr. Zaid Tariq Fadhil.

The symposium aimed to clarify the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and highlight the University of Mosul’s commitment to achieving them through engagement with reputable official institutions and the establishment of local, regional, and international partnerships.
