As part of the efforts made by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady for the reconstruction of the university in cooperation with the supporters, Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the Libraries, University of Mosul, with the participation of the staff of the Ibn Khaldun Library, supervised the finalization of the preparation for the official opening of Ibn Khaldun Library, after being destroyed by Daesh terrorism. Supported by UNDP, in partnership with the Iraqi government, and funded by the Federal Republic of Germany, Ibn Khaldun was reconstructed. It was planned to return its vital role in providing modern services for students, researchers and academics in the second university campus, in addition to various activities and events
