Under the auspices of the Honorable President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Director of  the Mosul University Libraries,the Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Jassim Mohammed, the Continuing Education Division in the Central Library, in cooperation with the Sustainable Development Unit in the Department of Studies and Planning headed by the University of Mosul, organized  an awareness course entitled «How to Use Fire extinguishers».it was addressed by Mr. Sufyan Idrees Mohammed.

The course aimed to enhance the  awareness of public safety and fire prevention procedures, introducing the different types of fire extinguishers and ways to use them correctly, as well as developing the rapid response skills and dealing with emergency situations in a way that contributes to providing a safe university environment and protecting lives and property.

This session is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly third goal : (good health and well-being), fourth goal: ( Good education), eleventh goal:  (sustainable cities and communities), and sixteenth goal  (peace, justice, and strong institutions), by spreading a culture of prevention and promoting a safe and sustainable educational and institutional environment.
