Pursuing the strategy of the University of Mosul, headed by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, to open-up to the world and strengthen communication with the local and international communities, and with follow-up from Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, the Gift and Exchange Unit in the Central Library received a variety of books and periodicals as a gift from an Iraqi expatriate in Germany Mr. Ali Ahmad Mahmood Jaddoa. It is worth mentioning that Dr. Ahmad Khalaf Fandy Al-Sab’aawy, Teacher in the Directorate-General of Education in Ninevah, has thankfully delivered the donated books and periodicals to the Library. The Library’s technical staff have started to index them electronically and in a hard copy to be accessible to the students and researchers at the University of Mosul
