To comply with the message called for by Prof. Dr. Kossay Al-Ahmady, President of the University of Mosul ,that the University should have a leading role in guiding and supporting the cultural and humanitarian activities of the society, and under the supervision of Mr. Sayf Al-Ashqar, Secretary-General of the University Libraries, the Central Library initiated a donation of dozens of various child-dedicated books to Al-Nukhba Coed Primary School as a kind of support and encouragement for Mosul’s young students to make them close to books, libraries and, as a result, to culture which is the most prominent symbol of any civilized society. On receipt of the gift, Mr. Ziyad Tariq, Headmaster of the School, expressed his deep gratitude to the University Presidency and to the General Secretariat of the Libraries on this distinguished cultural and humanitarian initiative, which will undoubtedly contribute to the creation of a cultured Iraqi generation to service the society and country perfectly
