A scientific visit from the College of Basic Education to the Mosul Studies Center

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit/Presidency of the University of Mosul, the Mosul Studies Center, represented by its Director, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, received a group of postgraduate students accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Maysar Bahaa Al-Din Al-Yazji/College of Basic Education/Department of History, who supervised the scientific visit that took place on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. The Director of the Center provided a comprehensive explanation of the nature of the Center’s work, its scientific departments, and the activities of its teaching staff. He also introduced the most important scientific publications, including books and scientific and cultural journals issued by the Center. Furthermore, he explained the library’s operational procedures, the lending system, research services, and the Koha classification system for books, which the library provides to users, especially postgraduate students. He also highlighted the library’s most important personal book collections and introduced the most important historical publications on Mosul that have been donated to the library and are suitable for development projects. For undergraduate theses and graduation projects that contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4, 5, 8, 11, and 17.
