In accordance with the ministerial directives issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center—and in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning (Sustainable Development Unit) at the University of Mosul Presidency—the Center held a training course titled: “Financial and Administrative Corruption: Motives and Prevention Mechanisms.” The course took place from September 14–16, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Center’s conference hall. The course agenda was as follows:
Day One: Featured two lectures:
– Prof. Dr. Huda Yassin Al-Dabbagh (Mosul Studies Center): “The Concept and Types of Financial and Administrative Corruption.”
– Asst. Prof. Dr. Hanan Abdul Khaliq (Mosul Studies Center): “Financial and Administrative Corruption from an Islamic Perspective.”
Session Moderator: Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Ahmed Al-Obeidi (Mosul Studies Center).
Day Two: Featured two lectures:
– Prof. Dr. Maha Saeed Hamid (Mosul Studies Center): “The Relationship Between Individual Behavior and Manifestations of Financial and Administrative Corruption in Institutions.”
– Asst. Prof. Dr. Hanaa Jassim Mohammed (Mosul Studies Center): “Societal Awareness and Its Role in Combating Financial and Administrative Corruption.” Session Moderator: Asst. Prof. Dr. Orouba Jameel Mahmoud
Day Three: Included a series of questions, discussions, and an assessment for the attendees regarding the course topic, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goals 4, 8, 10, and 16.
