As part of the Mosul Studies Center’s commitment to supporting scientific research—under the supervision of the Center’s Director, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, and in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning (Sustainable Development Unit) at the University of Mosul—the Center’s Library Committee has carried out the restoration, binding, and lamination of a rare and significant volume held in the Center’s collection: *Modern Intermediate Geography – Part Two*, prepared by the General Directorate of Education and published in 1949.
This restoration project, overseen and executed by the Center’s Director, is part of a broader initiative to organize, preserve, and arrange the rare books housed in the library—a key objective of the Library Committee for the 2026–2027 academic year. The volume serves as a vital historical record, documenting an important era in the history of education in Iraq and the structure of educational curricula from that period. By making this resource accessible, the Center aims to provide maximum benefit to researchers and postgraduate students who utilize the library, while simultaneously enhancing the Center’s institutional performance. This initiative, conducted in September 2026, also aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goals 4, 8, and 16.
