At the start of the new 2026–2027 academic year, the Director of the Mosul Studies Center at the University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh—in collaboration with the Department of Studies and Planning (Sustainable Development Unit) at the University of Mosul Presidency—held a meeting with the Center’s academic staff. The meeting addressed several academic matters, including the selection of research topics and registration for the previous year’s “Science Day” award. Furthermore, the discussion emphasized the preparation of faculty evaluation files for the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as the selection of topics for scientific workshops and training courses. The meeting also underscored the importance of encouraging the Center’s faculty to publish in reputable scientific journals indexed in the Scopus database. This initiative aims to enhance research output and elevate the Center’s academic standing, in alignment with the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4).
