Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, Professor Dr. Abdulaziz Ramadan Ali Thahir, Dean of the College of Law, and Dr. Saeed Khadida Qulu, Head of the Human Rights Division at the University of Mosul, and in implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, pillar (Participation and Institutional Reform) for 2025, specifically regarding the fourth paragraph concerning the holding of specialized legal workshops and seminars, the Women’s Affairs Committee and the Human Rights Committee at the Mosul Studies Center, in cooperation with the College of Law and the Women’s Affairs Unit and the Human Rights Division at the University of Mosul, held a scientific workshop entitled (The Importance of Legal and Administrative Amendments Aimed at Guaranteeing Women’s Rights).

The workshop was presented by Dr. Nagham Abdul Sattar Al-Jumaili, College of Law, and Assistant Lecturer Fanar Tariq Yassin, College of Law.

On Sunday, November 2, 2025, a workshop was held with the participation of several professors and graduate students. The two researchers presented two research papers on the topic. The first paper was titled: “The Importance of Legal Amendments in Guaranteeing Women’s Rights,” while the second addressed the importance of legal and administrative amendments that guarantee women’s rights. This was followed by a question-and-answer session and discussions that enriched the workshop with cultural perspectives. Certificates of participation were then distributed to the two researchers.
