Under the patronage of
Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the supervision of
Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit, University of Mosul Presidency, and as part of the activities of the Library Committee at the Mosul Studies Center, the Center held an awareness campaign for students on the use of paper sources in scientific research. Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, hosted a group of postgraduate students from the Colleges of Education for Humanities and Arts (Department of History) and the College of Archaeology on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Center’s Art Hall. The importance of this awareness campaign lies in guiding postgraduate students to use printed sources, as they form the foundation for their studies and research, and to avoid using unreliable digital books, as well as electronic libraries that offer digital books in text format without publication information, lacking scientific rigor. The campaign also emphasizes the proper use of printed sources in scientific research, in a way that contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4, 5, 11, and 17.
