Participation of the Director of the Mosul Studies Center in a Master’s Thesis Defense at the College of Education for Humanities/Department of History
Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, and in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit/Presidency of the University of Mosul, and as part of the Center’s efforts to establish scientific cooperation between the Center and its counterpart colleges and departments, Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh, Director of the Mosul Studies Center, participated as a member of the committee for the Master’s thesis defense in Islamic History at the Department of History, College of Education for Humanities, University of Mosul. The defense took place on Thursday, July 16, 2026, and the thesis was titled “Economic Activity in the Islamic Arab East in the Books of Countries by Al-Ya’qubi and Al-Hamadhani,” presented by student Zahraa Thaker Thahir Abdullah. The committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Saad Ramadan Al-Jubouri (Dean of the College of Education for Humanities), and its members included:
Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Nizar Al-Dabbagh – Member
Assistant Professor Dr. Sanaa Abdullah Aziz – Member
Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Salah Taher – Member and Supervisor.
This contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goals 4, 16, and 17.
