Prof. Dr. Majid Majdi Al-Mutawalli, a faculty member in the Department of Petroleum and Refining Engineering, has published a scientific research paper entitled:

“Calcareous Nannofossil Biostratigraphy of Sarmord Formation (Lower-Upper Cretaceous) in Bekhme Anticline, Kurdistan Region – Northeastern Iraq.”

The paper was published in the Iraqi National Journal of Earth Science, a local scientific journal published by the College of Science at the University of Mosul. The journal specializes in Earth Sciences, is indexed in Scopus, and is classified in the fourth quartile (Q4) in Geology-related fields.
