Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hamid Al-Suwaidi, the Team Games Branch, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, held a workshop on Thursday 20/2/2025 entitled (The Importance of Hosting the Olympic Games), in which Prof. Dr. Hadeel Dahi lectured. The workshop dealt with the importance of hosting continental and international tournaments, including the Olympic Games, which contribute to consolidating the position and reputation of the host country globally, as it adds strategic value to the host country and enhances its civilized image in front of the world by building a sustainable legacy for future generations, which leads to the reflection of the large volume of investment in the sports field on the host country of the sporting event and its role in enhancing the position of the countries of the world that host major events. The workshop aimed to enhance the culture of holding sports tournaments in Arab countries and its impact on accelerating the pace of achieving the state’s visions and strategies
