A thesis in the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences on team sports players

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, entitled “Determining the Impact Size and Level of a Number of Biomechanical Variables on Performance in the Static and Dynamic Explosive Power Tests for Team Sports Players.” The thesis was attended by Professor Dr. Nibras Younis Muhammed, Dean of the College, and a number of faculty members.
The thesis, presented by student Zakaria Yahya Ayoub, addressed determining the impact size and level of a number of biomechanical variables on performance in the Static and Dynamic Explosive Power Tests for Team Sports Players.
The study aims to identify the modified explosive power and work done in performing the vertical jump and horizontal jump tests from static and dynamic positions, the magnitude and level of the impact of movement on biomechanical variables and the force-time function in performing the vertical jump and horizontal jump tests, and to identify the accuracy and purity of the test in measuring explosive power between the vertical jump and horizontal jump tests from static positions.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Muhammad Khalil Muhammad, and included Professor Dr. Ahmad Abdul Amir Abdul Redha, Professor Dr. Falah Taha Hammou, Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Mahmoud Ali, Professor Dr. Abi Ramez Abdul Ghani, and under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Nashat Bashir Ibrahim and Professor Dr. Dhurgham Jassim Muhammed.
