PhD thesis discussion
The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul discussed a doctoral thesis in teaching methods on Thursday, May 29, 2025, on the effectiveness of a two-type educational scaffolding strategy in learning some basic badminton skills and developing scientific awareness. The discussion was attended by Professor Dr. Nibras Younis mohammad Al-Murad, Dean of the College, branch heads, a number of college instructors, and graduate students. The thesis, submitted by student Noor Faris Ahmed Al-Qazzaz, addressed the importance of the educational scaffolding strategy in learning badminton skills, as well as developing scientific, cognitive, skill, and emotional awareness toward the subject of badminton. The researcher concluded the extent of benefit from using strategies to develop students’ scientific awareness by giving them independence in performing skills.
