The University of Mosul organizes a development course to combat administrative and financial corruption.

Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, and under the direct supervision of Professor Dr. Nibras Younis Mohammed Al-Murad, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, the College’s Legal Division, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a development course entitled “Combating Administrative and Financial Corruption to Ensure Integrity and Achieve Transparency in State Institutions.” The course took place on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 3-4, 2025.
The course included a series of academic lectures. On the first day, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Rubaie presented a lecture entitled “The Role of Disciplinary Responsibility in Reducing Administrative and Financial Corruption.” The second lecture, delivered by Dr. Suzan Marwan Basheer, addressed the topic “The Impact of the Legitimacy of Administrative Decisions and Oversight Thereof on Reducing Financial and Administrative Corruption.”
The development course on combating administrative and financial corruption aims to achieve a number of fundamental objectives, most notably:
Promoting integrity and transparency in government institutions by raising awareness about anti-corruption mechanisms.
Clarifying the role of disciplinary responsibility in reducing administrative and financial corruption, as discussed in a lecture by Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Rubaie.
Highlighting the legitimacy of administrative decisions and the importance of oversight to ensure a sound administrative environment, as discussed by Dr. Suzan Marwan Basheer.
Enabling participants to understand anti-corruption laws and legislation, helping them implement them effectively in their organizations.
Promoting a culture of accountability and responsibility to ensure sound and effective management across various sectors.
These objectives contribute to building a more transparent and just work environment, which positively impacts administrative and institutional performance.
The course concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the lecturers in recognition of their efforts in raising awareness of the risks of corruption and the importance of combating it to achieve a transparent and fair administrative environment within state institutions.
