Master’s Thesis in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences in Measurement and Evaluation

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences hosted a master’s thesis discussion on evaluating technical performance in basic tennis skills using artificial intelligence techniques on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Professor Nashat Bashir Ibrahim, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and a number of college instructors attended the discussion.
The thesis, submitted by student Ihab Ghassan Muhammad, addressed the evaluation of the technical performance of third-year students in tennis at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences using artificial intelligence techniques.
The study aimed to design an observation form to evaluate technical performance in basic tennis skills using artificial intelligence techniques.
The study also aimed to design an electronic system based on artificial intelligence techniques to evaluate technical performance in basic tennis skills.
The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Sabhan Mahmoud Ahmed, with members Professor Mahmood Shukur Saleh and Assistant Professor Ziad Yahya Ali, under the supervision and membership of Professor Omar Samir Thanoon and Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Mohammed Khalil.
