Sponsored by the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hamed Al-Suwaidi, the Department of Sports Sciences, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, held a workshop entitled (Padel Tennis: Concept and Practices) on Sunday 2/9/2025, lectured by Prof. Dr. Sabhan Mahmoud. The workshop dealt with the origins of the game of padel tennis, which was described as an ancient modern game, as it has spread among us recently, as well as the tools of the game (the court, rackets and balls), in addition to the skills and identifying the differences between them and the game of tennis in terms of the dimensions and strategies of the game and the basic rules. The workshop aimed to introduce this game, which has become a threat to the game of tennis as a result of the increasing demand for its practice… The workshop was attended by Prof. Dr. Nawfal Fadhel Rashid, Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Omar Samir Dhnoon, Head of the Individual Games Department, and a number of college professors.
