Master’s thesis in the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences on “The effect of using the Brain Breaks strategy in improving mindfulness and emotional well-being among primary school students.”

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul discussed a master’s thesis on sports psychology on Sunday, June 29, 2025. Professor Nibras Yunis Mohammed Al-Murad, Dean of the College, and Head of the Individual Games Department, Dr. Omar Samir Thanoun, along with a number of college instructors, attended the discussion.
The thesis, submitted by student Sandy Amer Ezz El-Din, addressed the impact of using the Brain Breaks strategy on developing mindfulness and achieving emotional well-being among primary school students.
The study examined the effects of using this strategy, which demonstrated positive results in developing mindfulness and achieving emotional well-being among students.

The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Mu’ayad Abdul-Razzaq Hasso, with Professor Nagham Khaled Najib and Assistant Professor Walid Thanoon Yunis as members, and was supervised and included Prof. Nadhem Shaker Al-Wattar.
