Master’s thesis entitled (The effectiveness of the cube and baby strategies on cognitive achievement and skill performance of some basketball skills)

The College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences at the University of Mosul hosted a master’s thesis discussion on Sunday, August 3, 2025, titled “The Effectiveness of the Cube and Bye Strategies on Cognitive Achievement and Skill Performance of Some Basketball Skills.” The discussion was attended by Professor Dr. Nashat Bashir Ibraheem, Assistant Dean for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and a number of college instructors.
The thesis, presented by student Youssef Abdul Salam Abdul Rahman, addressed the effectiveness of the Cube and Bye Strategies on cognitive achievement and skill performance of some basketball skills for first-year students. It also aimed to teach students some basic basketball skills, provide students with information, translate it from a theoretical perspective into practical performance, and identify the effectiveness of these strategies in acquiring the art of performing some basketball skills.
The study aims to design and implement an educational program using the Cube and Bye Strategies for first-year students in basketball. It also aims to explore the effectiveness of using the Cube and Bye Strategies in developing skill achievement of some basketball skills, as well as to identify the differences between the Cube and Bye Strategies on cognitive achievement of some basketball skills. The discussion committee was chaired by Professor Dr. Amal Nouri Boutros, with the membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Jamal Shukri Basim and Assistant Professor Dr. Intidhar Farouk Elias, under the supervision and membership of Assistant Professor Dr. Salwan Khaled Mahmood.
